You're mid-job.
The phone's ringing.
Midebo answers it.
It picks up on the first ring, asks the right questions, sorts what's urgent from what can wait, and books it into a slot you can actually make. You find it on your calendar when you come up for air.
From $49/mo. No contract, cancel anytime.
If you don't pick up, the next name on the list will. That's a job lost, money that never made it to your pocket, and by the time you call back it's already booked.
What Midebo is
Midebo is an AI phone receptionist for small service businesses - HVAC, plumbing, grooming, salons and similar shops, where the owner is usually out working rather than sitting by the phone. Midebo answers your business number, talks to the caller, and books the appointment into your schedule.
How Midebo uses your Google Calendar
Connecting a Google Calendar is optional. If you connect one, Midebo does two things with it:
- Reads the events already in it, so it never offers a caller a time you have blocked out and cannot double-book you.
- Adds each appointment it books as an event in that calendar, so the booking appears in the calendar you already use.
Midebo only ever changes events it created itself. Events you or anyone else added are read to work out your availability and are never edited or deleted. You can disconnect the calendar at any time from your account settings, and your appointments stay in Midebo.
Outlook, Microsoft 365 and other calendars
Google Calendar is not the only option, and no calendar connection is required. Midebo can also connect to:
- Outlook and Microsoft 365, through Microsoft Graph.
- Any calendar that speaks CalDAV - Apple Calendar, Thunderbird, Fastmail, Nextcloud and similar.
- Midebo's own built-in calendar, which needs no connection at all and is where your jobs live either way.
Midebo treats every connected calendar the same way: it reads the events already there only to work out when you are free, it adds the appointments it books, and it only ever changes events it created itself. You can disconnect any of them at any time, and your appointments stay in Midebo.
Hear it for yourself
This is what your customers hear.
A staged no-heat call. We don't publish real callers' conversations, not for marketing and not for anyone. But that's our actual assistant, in a voice you can pick: forty seconds from ring to booked, with no menu, no hold music and nobody put on hold.
That was one voice. You pick the one your shop uses, 39 to choose from. Tap to listen:
If a missed call is a lost job,
Midebo is for you.
These are the trades we built it around. Each one arrives knowing the calls it actually gets. An HVAC shop's assistant tells no heat from no cool from an install quote; a plumber's tells a leak from a clog. Nothing to set up, on every plan.

A front desk, not a booking bot.
Every call, start to finish, handled the way a good receptionist would handle it.
It answers
Picks up on the first ring, day or night. It asks what's wrong and answers your hours, your service area and the questions you field twenty times a week, sounding like your shop instead of a call center.
It books
It checks what's genuinely open, reserves the slot, and writes it straight to your calendar. Code books the time, not the AI, so it can't invent a time or double-book you.
It reschedules and cancels
A customer calls back to move a time? Midebo looks them up by phone number, shifts or cancels the job, and frees the slot. No callback to chase.
It knows what's urgent
It can tell someone who needs you today from someone who can wait until next week, and handles each the right way.
It logs everything
Calls are recorded and transcribed, with what the caller wanted and what got booked. If the caller asks not to be recorded or asks for a person, we delete our copy. Anything it can't answer becomes a clear message with a name and a number, so nobody is left hanging.
It screens the junk
Robocalls and cold sales calls are filtered before they reach you, and you can see exactly what was turned away. You stop paying attention to a phone that mostly rings for nothing.
It takes a callback when it can't book
Some calls should not end in a booking, and pretending otherwise is how a bot loses you the job. If it can't book, it takes the details and flags that somebody owes them a call back, so the call is still worth something.
It hands over to a person
A caller who needs you rather than an assistant is warm transferred to you or whoever is covering, and there is a fallback number behind that so a caller still reaches somebody.
It never gives a busy signal
Everyone who calls gets answered at the same time. Midebo isn't a phone line, it's software. No hold music, no voicemail.
It books into the calendar you already have.
Connect the one you use, or use none at all. Midebo keeps its own calendar either way, so nothing has to be set up before it can answer your phone.
Calendars and booking
- Google Calendar
- Outlook and Microsoft 365
- Jobber
- Apple Calendar, Fastmail, Nextcloud or any CalDAV server
- Midebo's own calendar, which needs no connection at all
Whichever you connect, Midebo reads what is already there only to work out when you are free, adds the appointments it books, and only ever changes events it created itself. Disconnect at any time and your appointments stay in Midebo.
Your phone line
- Keep your number and forward it from your current carrier
- Warm transfer to you or a colleague when a caller needs a person
- A fallback number, so a caller reaches somebody if we are ever down
There is no porting, no new handset and nothing to install. Forward the calls you want answered and keep the rest.
Your own tools
- A read-only API for your calls, bookings and customers
- Per-shop keys you can create and revoke yourself
The API only ever reads. Nothing can book, change or cancel through it, so a key you share cannot be used to touch your business.
Wake up to a full calendar, not missed calls.
One email, first thing: how many called yesterday, and what's already on your calendar today. Skim it with your coffee and hit the road.
- One email, not another loginYesterday's calls counted up in one place, before you start.
- Today's jobs, before the day startsYou know what the day looks like while you're still drinking coffee.
- Nothing urgent waits for morningThe 11pm call that can't wait reaches you at 11pm.
You keep your number. We just answer it.
Nothing changes for your customers, and you don't set it up on your own.
Keep your number
Your customers call the same number that's on the truck and the yard sign. Nothing to reprint, nothing to re-list.
Forward what you'd miss
Your phone rings first. Only the calls nobody picks up come to us. Or hand us all of them, your call.
Setup walks you through it
Your hours, your services, the voice your shop uses. Your admin takes you through it step by step, and we’re one reply away if anything looks odd.
Voicemail loses the job. Midebo books it.
An answering service just takes a message, and charges by the minute. Here’s the difference.

What are missed calls costing you?
Your numbers, not ours. Put in what you actually miss and what a job is worth.
Assumes 1 in 3 of the calls you miss would have booked. Shops that answer book about 4 in 10, and missed calls skew after hours, so we rounded down.
Midebo catches those calls from $49/mo, and it pays for itself with a single job.
Questions you're probably asking.
Will my customers know it's an AI?
Yes, and we tell them. Your receptionist introduces itself by the name you give it, says it's an automated assistant, and that the call is recorded. It still sounds natural and moves fast, and most callers just feel like they finally got through to someone who could help.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number and set your carrier to forward calls to Midebo. Forward only the ones you miss, only after hours, or all of them. That part is your choice, and you can change it whenever you like.
How does it book without double-booking?
The AI only gathers the details. Our own code checks the calendar and reserves the slot, so the booking never depends on the AI getting it right. The slot is claimed in one write, so two callers can never take the same one. A calendar you've connected syncs about every ten minutes, so something you block out there can take that long to show up.
What does it cost to run a call?
Each plan includes a block of talk-minutes. A typical call runs 2 to 4 minutes, so the 200-minute entry plan covers roughly 50 to 66 calls a month. If you go over, you keep going for another 20% of your minutes at $0.40 each - on this plan that is 40 more minutes, about $16. After that the assistant stops. If you have given us a backup number your callers are forwarded to it; if you have not, they hear a short message asking them to call you directly. It comes back when you buy a block of minutes, move up a plan, or your next payment clears - not automatically when a new month starts. We tell you at 80% and again when your minutes run out, so there is never a bill you didn't see coming - and buying minutes up front, or moving up a plan, both cost less per minute than running over.
What if it doesn't work out?
Your first month is guaranteed. If Midebo isn't earning its keep, tell us before the month is out and we refund the month in full - one first month per business, and any extra minute packages you have already used aren't included. After that there's no contract to get out of: cancel anytime, keep your number, and nothing follows you.
How long does setup take?
Same day. You pick your trade, connect your calendar, set your hours, and forward your line. That's it - most shops are taking calls the same afternoon.
Does it work with my calendar or booking software?
Google Calendar, Outlook and Microsoft 365, Jobber, and anything that speaks CalDAV, which covers Apple Calendar, Fastmail and Nextcloud. You can also connect nothing at all: your jobs live in Midebo either way, so a calendar is a convenience rather than a requirement. Whichever you connect, it reads what is already there only to work out when you are free, adds the appointments it books, and only ever changes events it created itself.
A family business built this.
It answers our phone, too.
Call us and Midebo picks up first, exactly like it would for your customers. Then we get back to you. No ticket queue, no call center, no script to read from. When something needs changing you're talking to the people who can change it.

Everything the assistant did today, in your pocket. Free with your Midebo account, and your customers never need it.
- Who called, what they wanted, and whether it booked
- Today's jobs and the next slot you have free
- Callbacks somebody still owes
