This page is for customers of the Midebo app and the Midebo service, run by Midebo LLC. It explains how to ask us to delete your account and your data, what gets deleted, and what we have to keep.
1.How to ask
1.1Email support@midebo.com from the email address on your account and say you want your account and data deleted. That is the whole process. There is no form to fill in and nothing to pay.
1.2You can also do it from inside Midebo. On the web, sign in at midebo.com, open Billing, and press Close account. In the Midebo app on your phone, tap More, then Account & alerts, then Close this account.
1.3We will confirm by email when it is done. If you email us from an address we do not recognize we will ask you to confirm from the one on the account, because deleting a business's records on an unverified request is its own kind of harm.
2.What gets deleted
2.1Your customer list, your appointments, your call history and the written summaries of your calls.
2.2Any call recordings and transcripts still held.
2.3Your business settings: hours, services, locations, service area, greeting and the questions your assistant answers.
2.4Your users and their sign-in credentials.
3.What we keep, and for how long
3.1Call recordings and transcripts are held for up to 30 days in Midebo-controlled systems in the normal course, on every plan, whether or not you ask us to delete anything. A provider that helps us deliver the service may apply a shorter period of its own; the current provider-specific periods are listed in our Data Processing Agreement.
3.2Billing and tax records outlive the personal data, because we are required to keep them. They record what was charged and when, not your callers or their conversations.
3.3If we are under a legal obligation to preserve something, such as a subpoena, a dispute or a regulator, we keep that until the obligation ends, and we will tell you.
3.4Nothing you delete is used to train an AI model, before or after deletion.
4.If you cancel rather than delete
4.1Canceling and deleting are not the same thing, and canceling is the gentler one. If you cancel, you can sign in for thirty days to download your customer list and your bookings.
4.2After that we hold the account for a year at no charge, with your settings, call history and customer list as you left them, so a shop that comes back in month nine finds its work where it was. Paying reopens it at any point in that year. You will need a new phone number, because the old one was released.
4.3At the end of that year we close the account properly and delete your customer data. Asking us to delete now, as above, skips the wait.
5.Deleting one thing rather than everything
5.1You do not have to close your account to remove a single recording or transcript. Sign in and delete it, at any time, and it goes.
