This page documents the only way anyone comes to receive a text message from Midebo. It is published for carrier and A2P 10DLC review, and for anyone who wants to check our practice against our Privacy Policy.
1.Who is texted, and who is not
1.1 Who receives texts. Only the owner or staff of a business that subscribes to Midebo: our own paying customer, texting their own mobile number, about their own business.
1.2 Who never receives texts. The consumers who call our customers. Midebo answers a shop's phone and books jobs; we do not text the caller, ever. There is no marketing messaging of any kind, to anyone, on either side.
1.3 What the messages are. Operational alerts to the account holder: a call came in that needs their attention, or an account usage notice. Frequency varies with their own call volume. A busy day produces more alerts than a quiet one.
2.The consent language
2.1This is the exact sentence shown beside the checkbox at the moment of opt-in, and the exact sentence stored with the consent record:
I agree to receive text messages from Midebo about calls that need my attention and account usage alerts. Message frequency varies with call volume. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See Terms at midebo.com/terms and Privacy at midebo.com/privacy.
2.2Our Terms of Service describe the messages we send in the section “Texts and emails we send you”, and our Privacy Policy states that mobile phone numbers and text-message consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
3.The opt-in flow, step by step
3.1 1. They become a customer: A shop signs up at midebo.com/signup and their account is created there. No phone number is enrolled for messaging at that point and no consent is captured. Text alerts are turned on later, inside the authenticated account, and only by the customer.
3.2 2. They sign in: The customer signs in at app.midebo.com with the credentials we sent. Everything below happens inside their own authenticated account.
3.3 3. They open Account → Text alerts: Text alerts are OFF for every account by default. Nothing is pre-filled and no number is enrolled until the customer does the next step themselves.
3.4 4. They type their mobile number and tick the box: The consent language shown below sits beside an unchecked checkbox. The “Turn on text alerts” button stays disabled until the box is ticked. The number alone will not enroll anyone.
3.5 5. We store what they agreed to, and when: On submission we record the mobile number, the timestamp, and the exact sentence displayed at that moment. The account shows it back to them afterwards, so they can see what they agreed to.
3.6 6. They can stop at any time: Replying STOP to any message turns alerts off immediately and is recorded as a withdrawal; HELP returns our contact details. They can also switch alerts off in the same screen. Withdrawing never erases the original consent record.
4.The opt-in screen
4.1The screen below is inside a customer's own account at app.midebo.com and requires a login, so it is reproduced here for review.
